WOW this page is old! Sorry about that. Michigan Avenue in Jackson will be under construction the summer of 2015, so there will be no cruise ins.
We will get some new photos of a cruise in or other interesting places to visit as soon as we can. In the meantime, please feel free to enjoy these old photos of old cars.
Here is an article about the construction project: http://www.mlive.com/news/jackson/index.ssf/2014/08/michigan_avenue_construction_p.html

Upon arrival at this chilly Cruise Night, May 25, 2001, I was greeted by none other than the Queen of Hearts herself. Look for more information helpful for women from QOH in the near future, here on JacksonMich.com, the Jackson Home Page. |

The Crime Fighter Corps was out in force, protecting fun loving citizens from harm, and drumming up business for their home page on JxnMichigan.com.
This writer could not resist posing with Captain Jackson, Jackson Michigan's fearless caped crusader. If you haven't yet visited Captain's Tips for Safe Living, you would enjoy checking them out now. |

Crimefighter Girl was on street patrol this evening, looking sharp.
Another interesting citizen at the first Jackson Cruise Night on 2001 was Jan Krieger. Jan gets our vote for the most devoted father at this event. Printed on the box he holds, are the words "Australia or Bust!" Further investigation revealed that Jan's son, Joshua Krieger, plans to visit Australia as part of a "People to People" program. (Read more about it.) Joshua and Jan have several fundraisers to pay for this upcoming trip. You can help! Call Joshua to make donations. (517) 784-0932 |

As dusk approached, we made our way homeward, glad to have had the chance to meet the proud car owners, and others who braved the weather. Having rained seriously earlier in the day, we checked out the convenient new weather maps that show storm intensities on the weather page on JacksonMich.com before venturing out. We saw severe weather to the east of us. Severe weather to the north of us, to the south of us and to the west of us. Looked a bit like a hurricane across the midwest, with the eye of the hurricane, the calm between the storms, right over Jackson. That was good enough for us, and good enough for the brave car owners you saw here today. At the next Cruise Nights, on Friday June 22, we expect to see hundreds of car owners, and hundreds of wonderful cars. |
|
We will be at that event as well, to document some of the Classic Cars that are able to make it out in fine June weather. Those classic car owners who made it out in this tricky May weather are here honored and promoted for the world to see. |
